Tegrity Honored With IMS Learning Impact Award

IMS Global Learning Consortium Recognizes Class Capture Leader

Santa Clara, CA – May 1, 2007 – Tegrity, the leading provider of student achievement systems to the higher education market, today announced that it has been recognized by the IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS GLC) for the high-impact use of its technology in learning. Tegrity was the only class capture solution among twelve technology implementations to be honored this year with an IMS GLC Learning Impact Award (LIA).

The Learning Impact Award (LIA) specifically praises the use of Tegrity Campus 2.0 at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Tegrity Campus makes the classroom experience available all the time by automatically capturing, storing, and indexing every class on campus for replay by every student.

“It is an honor to be recognized by such a revered organization as the IMS Global Learning Consortium,” said Isaac Segal, Tegrity President and CEO. “This recognition underscores not only the value of our product, but more importantly the way technology can be used to make the classroom experience available any time a student needs to study.”

The Learning Impact Awards highlight the top levels of innovation, adoption, and learning impact, and draw attention to leading uses of technology in the support or enhancement of learning. Nominations were submitted from around the globe, and winners were selected from a group of twenty five finalists showing superior measurable impact on faculty/teacher adoption, student achievement, and ease of implementation.

“Tegrity customers are doing great things with its technologies and seeing significant impact,” said IMS Global Learning Consortium CEO Rob Abel. “Tegrity Campus represents an innovative way of extending the classroom experience through technology.”

Tegrity Campus was also recognized by IMS GLC this year with two Learn-Sat awards, earning a space among the top ten technology products supporting teaching and learning and a rating of “Best in Category” for classroom capture products.

Tegrity Campus 2.0, the first student achievement system to impact learning across the entire institution, combines video, audio, and instructor slides with student notes and more, and delivers them all online to a PC/Mac, iPod, or mobile device, intelligently indexed for powerful search and retrieval. It automatically captures and aggregates all teaching done on and off campus within a single repository that can be accessed either directly or from an existing Course Management System (CMS). Tegrity Campus requires no user software or hardware installation. The one-click start for the recording process ensures rapid faculty adoption.
