Tegrity is a web service

As a Web Service, Tegrity eliminates the need for manual installations and maintenance of server software, recording software, or classroom-based recording equipment. Tegrity minimizes maintenance and support costs, deployment risk, is highly scalable and incredibly easy to learn and use – ensuring rapid adoption among both students and faculty. Class recordings can be stored and delivered from Tegrity or your institution.

Dataset Integration

Tegrity Campus 2.0 seamlessly integrates with your institution’s dataset. It reads the entire course catalogue, student roster & enrollment data from your CMS or SIS, and uses that data to automatically create personalized accounts populated automatically with the right courses and class recordings for each user.

Once integrated with the institution's existing data-sets, Tegrity makes the entire process of capturing, indexing, publishing, and storing every class across the entire campus completely automatic. It simply runs itself, making it easy for instructors, and requiring no extra work for IT. Every recording is automatically placed in the right course for enrolled students to access securely.

Authentication, Integration & SSO

Tegrity integrates with your institution's Active Directory or LDAP Authentication systems, allowing for single-sign-on access from either Tegrity or your institution's CMS. User authentication is implemented based on one of the following sources:

• CMS/SIS
• Active Directory
• LDAP
• Tegrity Server

Integration with other authentication authorities is possible using Tegrity Professional Services.  The authentication method(s) appropriate for your institution depends on your use case scenarios, existing infrastructure and whether Tegrity is integrated with your CMS or SIS. Once users are authenticated, they access personalized accounts populated automatically with the right course and class content appropriate to their roles.

CMS Integration

Tegrity seamlessly integrates with your institution’s course management system (CMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), portals, and IMS-compliant applications, including Blackboard, WebCT, Sakai, Angel, Moodle, PeopleSoft/Oracle, SCT and more. Tegrity embeds itself into the CMS courses, allowing users to seamless navigate between the two systems.

Store and Deliver

The Tegrity Store & Deliver Service allows your institution to store and deliver all class recordings and additional materials in a secure, Tegrity-managed infrastructure. The Tegrity Store & Deliver Service is an alternative to placing a Tegrity Virtual Appliance in your own infrastructure. The Tegrity infrastructure is designed to deliver peak performance regardless of usage. High speed server technology and an advanced storage infrastructure provide fast access to recordings. The Service infrastructure also offers high bandwidth access and built-in redundancy, high application availability, and sophisticated back-up to support the highest level of application uptime. 

Centralized Management

Tegrity makes it easy for administrators to control and implement policies and operations via a web-based interface accessible from any location.  Monitor performance, instantaneously generate usage reports, and customize settings.

Measure Outcomes

Tegrity Campus 2.0 is proven to increase the effectiveness of instructors while supporting the institution’s strategic initiatives. The Tegrity Reporting Service provides visibility to Tegrity usage, as well as cross-correlating that information with grades and class completion rates. Faculty can also look at student viewing frequency, time and duration across different recordings and different courses down to specific users. This important feature provides valuable insight for instructors and executives alike. Administrators can track adoption across the campus and assess the impact it has on student satisfaction, achievement and retention. In addition, Tegrity provides built-in surveys that may be administered to students and/or instructors for additional assessment.

Because of the scope and institutional reach of Tegrity, governance capabilities are critical to ensure success and impact of the service. Tegrity generates reports that track system utilization and provides key stakeholders at all levels with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as it pertains to their roles within the institution.
