Join over 500,000 thrill-seekers in Louisville on Saturday, April 17th, for the day-long Opening Ceremonies festival that kicks off two weeks of events for the Kentucky Derby. Throughout the day, 100 planes, aerobatic teams, and daring skydiving teams maneuver the sky during the annual Thunder Air Show. When darkness falls, the largest annual pyrotechnic display in North America ignites, aweing crowds as fireworks rain down from the sky during this 28-minute show.
Thunder over Louisville is Kentucky's pride. It is rebroadcast every year on July 4th to approximately 1-million U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilian employees and their families stationed in 176 countries and aboard 140 U.S. Navy ships at sea.
